Seamus J Wheeley responds that his reading list is quite exaustive, and he would add "quite impressive" as follows; several years ago he began reading "Rememberance of Things Past" and having stopped 5 years ago mid book he considers that he is still reading this - so yes he would say, "I am reading Rememberance of Things Past". Additionally I am reading Herodotus "Histories" I say I am reading this as there is no way I will ever finish this classic work. I have on my shelf the secret life of the call girl and the "Technical Terms to liven up any gathering" rather ponderous, but with moments of excitement. By the way, my library has benifited from a recent increase in my personal financial "situation"
Seamus was also wondering, would the folks that own that huge number of May Sartons be willin to lend them out for a "few days". I could give you a P.O. Box to mail them to and with the book rate being so affordable it wouldn't cost you but a few Bob, if you catch my drift. By the way, reading a bit more last evening I've learned to spell exhaustive. -
You've got "the gift" Bob.
Looking forward to updates----
not reading ---in a dry spell---
May Sarton intrigues me-----almost
I am currently reading - Savage Beauty: The Life of Edna St. Vincent Millay You might like it if you like May Sarton
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edna_St._Vincent_Millay
And I am reading ......... - Lincoln: The Biography of a Writer. I like Biographies and this is one of the best I've read
One more comment from Seamus, I'm currently publishing a 1200 page limited edition novel titled "Self Help For Compulsive Bibliophiles Who Would Like To Spend More Time In Outdoors Activities" It will most likely come to be known as SHFCBWWLTSMTIOA for short. Anyway, I have a special offer for those interested - if you act promptly. You simply mail me $99.99 Cash - (it's ok now to send cash through the mail with things being safer with the mail in general. I will rush your Novel next day air. Just send the cash to Joey - P.O. Box 55992 Federal Hill, Providence RI. I’m not sure about the zip, but you can look it up or call information. If you could time it so that the cash arrives Saturday morning that would be best, this Saturday that is. Thanks so much. You’ll love the book. I plan a sequel in the spring, if you’d like to preorder and at the same easy payment price!!
large bills or coins?
Both would be best. I also always appreciate tips!
Seamus has one last comment. "I hope I didn't distract us from the original purpose of this particular segment of the family blog. I encourage each and every one of you to come forth and describe your current reading preferences, I believe that was the objective. And again - what a pile of books in that photo, if only they were mine, anyway remember if you will P.O. Box 55992
Is your book from the library or do you own (Edna St. Vincent)?
maybe I could borrow if you own it?
BTW I have Rolling Stone magazines to pass on if anyone is interested...also Fiber Arts
E.
I own it. Who's E?
Am reading "Reading Jazz" edited by Robert Gottlieb, and "When Things Fall Apart" by Pema Chodro.
I am reading "The Poetry Home Repair Manual" by Ted Kooser! To be followed by "Creative Glut" by Karl Shapiro...
I am reading "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert? It is in my room, too far away at the moment, to double check the author's name.
