The kids made it off to school happily today! I think Danny finally fell asleep last night around midnight all hopped up on excitement about his first day of Kindergarten!
Very excited about the backpacks they picked out...Hopefully they will last until winter break without falling apart!
They were out at the bus stop a half an hour early and it took all Danny had not to leap on the bus when it finally arrived.
Tara was heartbroken--crying when her best friends Danny and Kate got onto the bus yelling, "Not fair bus!!!!"
This helped to distract mom from crying as the kids rolled away from sight...

When Jacki got on the bus for the first time she never looked back.
I thought at the time, "This is a good thing, right?" I still cried.
The kids are so very well dressed! Nice job Jacki!! I absolutely LOVE the pic of Danny waving...priceless. Poor Tara...but soon enough, she too will be going on the school bus.
It goes by way to quickly. I will get some posted from Isabel's first day.

When I went to first grade I was so scared. So when Fred went I took a picture of him coming out of the front door. Getting on the bus, I followed him to school Took a picture of him getting off the bus at school, went inside the classroom took a picture of him at his desk. He put his head down and said Oh please go home........I guess he wasn't scared, I realized after I was the only mom there. Yeah I cried.
